I had tried doing it on my own before. I thought that if I could follow the right people and look at what they were doing and trying to make it my own that I would get similar results. In all honestly I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know how to structure a program and it showed. I gained weight back that I had previously lost and wasn’t gaining any muscle. After running two half marathons I decided it was time to look into personal training. I was willing to invest in myself and have someone who was certified to create the right program for me. I instantly knew I wanted to work with Carly because I have met her personally and knew she would create a program that would really kick my butt.

One of the best decisions I ever made was taking the leap into being an online client. I love that I can do my workouts when I want to and they are all at my fingertips. I get my workouts a week in advance so I can plan my meals and schedule accordingly. She sends descriptions and videos of the workouts to help me understand what I should be doing or working toward. I am able to record my weights and send them with my feedback to Carly at the end of the workout week. I am still able to access Carly through calls, texts, emails, social, etc. so I don’t feel like I’m alone while doing it. It’s basically all the perks of having a personal trainer, but without them physically being in the gym with you.
Since October 2017 I have been doing strength training through Carly. Through her program I was able to increase my lifts, maintain my weight, and feel more confident in myself. She creates a nice balance of lifting and HIIT cardio to keep me guessing and not bored. I love that the workouts never change and constantly challenge me. I highly recommend Carly to anyone who is just starting or trying to switch up their fitness routine.

I had never had a personal trainer before, but I was 6 weeks post cesarean section. I had no idea where to start. It was my second child. I had no abdominal muscle strength, and I learned on my first day with Carly, I had no thigh strength either. I was very discouraged at first, and I could hardly walk after my first session! I was so out of shape. Carly pushed me each and every time. Without even knowing what I was doing at each session, the compilation of exercises she had me do had me sore but feeling strong! I was able to play with my kids on the floor and get up without getting on all fours! I was kicking my husband's butt by the end of my time with Carly! She does not give you the option of giving up, but she does it without you even knowing it really. She will help you find what you were not sure you had, and she can take you from nothing to feeling (and being) strong. I am doing the online workout plan with her now. It is harder for me to keep up with not going to the gym directly, but she keeps me motivated! She sends the workouts, and she will modify for equipment you have at home or your home layout versus if you go to the gym. She is a plethora of workout combinations that will keep you motivated and moving but most importantly interested in doing them! I can never thank Carly enough for getting me back to my baseline and better! I was so happy when she launched her online business, so I could work with her again!

"I had never had a trainer before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. As a two sport athlete in high school (ten years ago), I was fairly athletic and over the years I retained some of that athleticism by working out on my own. When I came to Carly she helped me immediately with workouts that I had never done, helping to improve my cardio conditioning overall and muscle strength in several areas. From the time I started with Carly, until the sad day that she departed for North Carolina, I went from being able to do about 10 push ups in a row (and that was it) to being able to do several sets of ten with AMRAP workouts.
Carly demonstrated her depth of knowledge as I presented her with challenge after challenge. My foot started hurting, she helped me alter my technique. Even when I foolishly decided not to eat before one workout, and almost passed out, she knew exactly what to do. She is likely the very reason I didn't pass out that day. If you think you're old and fat (like I often referred to myself) Carly will give you simple little tweaks to your technique that help you do the workout correctly, making you stronger faster, so you can push even more than you thought you could.
Carly is also a master motivator. On days when I really didn't feel like doing anything she helped me push through by prompting me at the perfect time. At that exact moment I hated her guts, but when I finished the workout or set, she was right there clapping and saying some version of "I knew you could do it." One time Carly showed me an exercise, and I laughed at her. Literally. Then I did it all the way through and actually did quite well. But that's what Carly does. She puts obstacles in you path that you don't think you can overcome, and then she helps you do just that. Personality matches are important when you are seeking a trainer, but Carly helped both my wife and I. My wife and I are completely different when working out but Carly helped the both of us with workouts tailored to our specific goals and skill sets. She even worked out my wife and I together and did an awesome job with both of us at once. I loved working out with Carly, and North Carolina is a better state with her there. I cannot recommend her enough!"
